Ensembles

MARCHING BAND

The Spring Valley High School "Marching Timberwolves" are designed for the entertainment of the people in the community through parades, halftime shows, and presentations. This band is also a competition band and attends at least 5 a year.

CONCERT BANDS

 The Spring Valley music department is comprised of a Wind Ensemble and a Concert Band. The purpose of these ensembles are to provide concerts and performances for the public and Spring Valley High School. The ensembles also participate in a yearly ratings festival.

JAZZ BANDS

The Spring Valley "Silver" and "Blue" jazz ensembles are designed for the purpose to provide concerts and performances for the public and Spring Valley High School. The Jazz Ensembles are music groups that explore the styles of Swing, Latin, Ballad, Rock, Bossa Nova, and Blues along with others of the 1900s era to the present. The ensembles also participate in a yearly state ratings festival and local jazz festivals. 

CHAMBER ENSEMBLES

 The Spring Valley music department is comprised of an wide array of small chamber groups. The purpose of these ensembles are to provide concerts and performances for the public and Spring Valley High School. The ensembles also participate in a yearly ratings festival.

PEP BAND

The Pep Band at Spring Valley High School is a smaller ensemble designed for the entertainment of the people in the community through basketball games and other smaller presentations. This band participates in 3 home basketball games a year.


WINTERGUARD

The Winterguard at Spring Valley High School is a smaller ensemble designed to foster positive experiences for all who participate, by promoting education, creativity, and freedom of expression through pageantry and the performing arts. The SV Winterguard is open to all students at SVHS and is an audition based group.  The members of the SV Winterguard perform as a visual unit that strives for excellence, education, and entertainment for our audience and members of the team.
